This was a dramatic reading of the Gospel of Mark, making the events of Jesus' life, death and resurrection very engaging for everyone. Each scene was formatted to distinguish between the narrator and the speaking character, encouraging dynamic participation.
The only character not biblical in origin is "The Historian". The historian has been added to help the listeners engage with the narrative structure that was crafted for us by John Mark in the first century. The entire biblical text was included.
We used Reading Through Mark, making it easy to be organized. There was no rehearsal. People just volunteered beforehand to read certain characters. It wasn't intended to be a production, but a Warm, Memorable, Family Time in God's Word!
